Session 34

[START GAME]

DUNGEON MASTER: The party is standing in the dismal town of Morast, and hired the services of a young man named Bratzig.

DUNGEON MASTER: It is about 4:30 in the afternoon. Sunset this time of year comes at about 6.

JOHAN D’ALMENTA / MESODIAS: “Good sir as our first port of call could you show us to the bone yard. We would like to inspect it, the unfortunate place where the incident occurred,” asks Johan.

DUNGEON MASTER: “The—-ah, yes, fine sirs, straightaway,” replies the man after a few startled blinks. “Ah, right this way then, I’ve got just the craft for you folk to go piddlin’ about the marsh in.”

Session 33

[GAME STARTS HERE]

DUNGEON MASTER: It is about 1 in the afternoon on the day before the trial.

GRUNDIG: grundig speaks up "i think we should go see the barister and find out more about the charges the beast is faceing

JOHAN D’ALMENTA / MESODIAS: Johan agrees to Grundig, “Sounds like a good place to start. I’m interested to see who will be giving evidence during the day of the trial.”

SOLAR CE’NEA: Solar pipes in and says I specifically would like to see how the victims of these crimes died

Session 32

DUNGEON MASTER: [GAME STARTS HERE]

The party leaves the residence of Judge Daramid. It is about 10:30 in the morning on the day before the Beast’s trial.
DUNGEON MASTER: They spend the next hour visiting the shops and making sundry purchases.

Session 31

DUNGEON MASTER: [GAME STARTS HERE]
DUNGEON MASTER: [Your watch order is: Grundig-Johan-Mesodias-Solar.]
DUNGEON MASTER: The night passes without incident, except for the occasional Growls of Shadow Splatterface out on the balcony and the sound of carriages and drunkards out in the street below. Morning dawns clear as an autumn day can be.
DUNGEON MASTER: Breakfast is served at a long oak dining table in an impressively appointed dining room below. The servants and butler (he a bald, severe man) are obviously acquainted with the protocol for serving the wealthy and the powerful.

Session 30

It is nearly 11 at night, when the party trudges back up the path to the small camp by the side of the road. Kaleb greets the party with a hopeful “Hallo? How fared ye?”
JOHAN D’ALMENTA: Johan stands there with a solemn look on his face as they stand before the Crooked Kin. “I fear we bear some most unfortunate news about poor Aleece. We tracked her quite some distance into the surrounds which took us to the edge of a marsh lands.” Johan takes a deep breath with a look of sadness in his eyes, “We entered the marsh before being attacked by what we identified as a phase spider which while we seriously injured it, it was able to vanish before we could get revenge against it for Aleece who fell to it’s deadly bite. I am sorry for your lose.”
JOHAN D’ALMENTA: Johan presents the sack to Kaleb, “We wanted her to have a proper burial.” Johan carefully places the sack before Kaleb before standing back with his companions.

Session 29

DUNGEON MASTER: [GAME STARTS HERE]
DUNGEON MASTER: The sun once again moves behind the Tusk Mountains, setting red behind the black stilhoutted peaks. Dusk is settling as the party rounds a bend to discover a number of brightly painted wagons circled near the side of the road.

“Hallo?” hails a male voice calls through the semi-darkness. “Aleece?”
SOLAR CE’NEA: Hello dear Sir, no none of us is Aleece, I am Solar, and I and my companions wish you greating on this fine night
JOHAN D’ALMENTA: “Greetings, my name is Johan, a fellow traveller through this region. How goes you?”

Session 28

DUNGEON MASTER: [GAME STARTS HERE]
DUNGEON MASTER: The heroes are currently standing in Father Grimburrow’s study—Solar by the torn message pinned to the desk with a dagger; Mesodias and Johan by the entryway.
SOLAR CE’NEA: I suggest when we get to Lepidstadt we check out who this Vrood. I suspect he is not a good sort
SOLAR CE’NEA: Was there anything else with the map? Is the dagger that had it pinned yours?
DUNGEON MASTER: “What map are you talking about?”
SOLAR CE’NEA: I meant the note, I am going through all the knowledge in my head thinking of the best of the best and safeest route to Lepidstadt My apologies
DUNGEON MASTER: “The dagger belonged to Torsten here,” he says, glowring down at the remains of his alcolyte.

Session 27

DUNGEON MASTER: Afternoon blends into evening, with alcohol, food, and cheer all flowing free in equal measure. It is late when the heroes stumble home, full of corpse soup and the well-wishes of the towns folk.
JOHAN D’ALMENTA: Johan acquires a masterwork composite longbow +4 STR for 720gp (inc 10% discount)
JOHAN D’ALMENTA: Johan sells his mw heavy crossbow and mw heavy mace to the store keeper
DUNGEON MASTER: Over the next couple weeks, the heroes attend to their business and assist Kendra in packing up her father’s goods, in prepraration for selling the house.

Session 26

DUNGEON MASTER: [GAME STARTS HERE]
DUNGEON MASTER: The old prison is quiet but for the soft sound of rain outside.
JOHAN D’ALMENTA: Johan wipes away the tears from his eyes with his bloodied sleeve as the blue lady vanishes after cleansing the prision. Johan looks around in awe, “Well that looks like the prision is free from this taint and hopefully also the town.” Johan slaps Solar and Mesodias on the back.
SOLAR CE’NEA: I aggree but I think we should do a quick check around of the prison, and perhaps check for treasure we may have missed.
